Frequently Asked Questions

What type of amplifier do I need for this speaker?
The Vonyx VSA15P is a passive speaker with an 8-ohm impedance and a 500W power output. For optimal and safe performance, it is recommended to use an amplifier capable of delivering between 500W and 750W at 8 ohms per channel.

Is it an active or passive speaker?
This is a passive model, meaning it requires an external power amplifier to operate. It does not have a built-in amplifier.

Can I connect it directly to a mixing console or a computer?
No. As it is a passive speaker, it must first be connected to a power amplifier, and this in turn is connected to the output of the mixing console, DJ controller, or other audio source.

What are NL-4 connectors?
NL-4 connectors, commonly known as Speakon, are a professional standard for connecting speakers. They offer a more secure and reliable connection than traditional jacks, with a locking mechanism that prevents accidental disconnections.

Can it be used as a floor monitor?
Yes, the casing has a design with an angled side specifically intended so that the speaker can be placed on the floor tilted towards the listener, working perfectly as a stage monitor.
