PROEL STAGE290LU3 - Professional Microphone Cable XLR Female to 6.3mm Mono Jack (3 Meters)

The Proel STAGE290LU3 is a professional microphone cable designed to deliver crisp, reliable signal transmission on stages, in home recording studios, and in live audio setups. Part of Proel's renowned Stage Innovation series, this cable strikes the perfect balance between high-quality Italian engineering and affordability, ensuring your voice or instrument is heard clearly and without interference.

This 3-meter cable is specifically designed to connect dynamic microphones to unbalanced inputs (such as amplifiers, DJ mixers, karaoke systems, or active speakers with a line-level jack input). Its robust construction utilizes high-purity Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) conductors, minimizing signal loss and ensuring a frequency response faithful to the original source. Unlike generic cables, the STAGE290LU3 features high-density spiral shielding that effectively protects against electromagnetic noise and radio frequency interference (RFI).

Durability is key in the live performance environment. That's why this cable is encased in a super-flexible 60 Shore PVC jacket, which not only withstands the usual trampling and rough handling on stage, but also makes it easy to coil and store without creating "memory" or annoying knots. The metal connectors, with their robust housing and strain relief, ensure that the internal solder joints remain intact even after years of heavy use.

Main features

  • Proel Professional Connectors: Equipped with a 3-pin female XLR connector (S4CPRO series) and a 6.3mm Mono Jack connector (S2CPRO series) with a robust metal housing for maximum protection.
  • Gold Tip: The Jack connector features a gold-plated tip to improve conductivity and prevent long-term corrosion.
  • OFC Conductors: Made with 99.99% pure oxygen-free copper, guaranteeing pure and transparent audio transmission.
  • Silent Shielding: Spiral copper shielding mesh that covers more than 90% of the conductor, eliminating hum and parasitic noise.
  • Superior Flexibility: Soft PVC outer cover that allows for agile handling and prevents tangling during assembly and disassembly.

Product benefits

  • Reliability on stage: Forget about signal cuts or noise from movement; the connectors hold the cable firmly thanks to their internal strain relief system.
  • Clean sound: The cable's low capacitance preserves the brightness and detail of the voice or instrument, preventing the sound from becoming "dull".
  • Connection versatility: It is the ideal solution when you need to connect a standard microphone to a device that does not have an XLR input, instantly solving compatibility problems.
  • Long service life: Abrasion and mechanical wear resistant materials, designed to withstand life on the road.

Use cases

  • Karaoke Systems: Direct connection of handheld microphones to karaoke machines or portable speakers with a jack input.
  • Instrument Amplification: Use of dynamic microphones connected to guitar or bass amplifiers (for harmonica or vocals with effects).
  • DJs and Events: Microphone connection for announcements on mixing consoles that only have line/microphone inputs in Jack format.
  • Home Studio: Quick connection to basic audio interfaces or effects pedals.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this cable suitable for condenser microphones?
Generally not. Condenser microphones typically require phantom power (+48V), which needs a balanced XLR-to-XLR cable. This cable is ideal for dynamic microphones.
  • Is the connection balanced or unbalanced?
It's an unbalanced cable. It converts the microphone signal (XLR) to a mono input (TS jack). It's perfect for short to medium distances like this 3-meter one.
  • Can I use it to connect a guitar?
Technically, if your guitar had an XLR output (rare) yes, but it's primarily designed to carry a microphone signal to a jack input.
  • Can the connectors be disassembled for repair?
Yes, Proel Stage series connectors are detachable and repairable should you need to resolder them in the distant future.
