The Electro-Voice RE3-HHT96-5H combines the RE3-HHT bodypack with the ND96-RC3 headshell to deliver a wireless handheld microphone that’s ready for high-volume performance. The ND96 capsule is a dynamic supercardioid with exceptional gain-before-feedback and a Presence Boost switch allows for a flat or vocal-emphasized response to cut through the mix. The transmitter operates in the 5H band (560–596 MHz) with a 36 MHz tuning width and selectable 10/50 mW RF power , making it easy to coordinate frequencies for touring, theatrical, and corporate events.

The RE3-HHT has a metal body , LCD + LED display , ultrasonic synchronization with the receiver for immediate tuning and a standard 1.25 "-28 threaded coupling ( 3 rings / 3 pin contact) that accepts EV heads and other brands with the same standard. It works with 2 AA batteries (alkaline or NiMH) and incorporates charging contacts compatible with the RE3-ACC-BC2 charger for in-situ NiMH recharging.
