Electro-Voice RE3-ACC-RFAMP - 10 dB UHF Active Antenna Amplifier (470–960 MHz) for RE3 Systems
The Electro-Voice RE3-ACC-RFAMP is a 10 dB active RF booster designed to mount next to the antenna to compensate for losses before a coax run in UHF wireless systems. Operating on 470–960 MHz , it is powered by 12 VDC over coax from the RE3-RX receiver or AASP active distributor , and connects via BNC . A mounting accessory is included for surface mounting or attachment to a standard 5/8"-27 microphone stand . In addition to amplifying directional or remote antennas, it allows remote mounting of the 1/2 wave antenna supplied with the receiver, optimizing coverage without sacrificing portability.
Main features
- Fixed gain of 10 dB to overcome cabling losses and improve signal-to-noise ratio.
- UHF Broadband : Operation from 470 to 960 MHz .
- Coaxial power supply (12 V DC) from RE3-RX or from the AASP splitter .
- BNC connection ; compatible with low-loss cables (CXU series) .
- Versatile mounting : included surface flange or 5/8"-27 thread for mic stand.
- Use with 1/2 wave, passive/active log-periodic antennas and RE3 distribution systems.
Product benefits
- More stable coverage : by amplifying in the antenna itself, pre-coaxial losses are minimized.
- Rapid deployment : powered by the RF cable itself, without additional external sources.
- Flexible installation : surface or microphone stand mounting to orient and position the antenna where it performs best.
- Full RE3 compatibility : Designed to work with RE3 receivers and the AASP splitter in multi-channel installations.
Use cases
- Remote antennas on stages, theaters, and corporate events with remote racks.
- Reinforcement of RF links when long coaxial runs are required.
- Remote mount of the 1/2 wave receiver antenna to improve line of sight.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Where should it be installed? Preferably just after the antenna (or on the antenna itself) to compensate for losses before wiring.
- How is it powered? Via the coaxial cable itself with 12 V DC supplied by the RE3-RX or the AASP .
- Does it work with log-periodic antennas? Yes; it's suitable for both directional antennas and the receiver's half-wave antenna.
- Which cable should I use? Low-loss coaxial cables (e.g., CXU series) to maintain effective gain.
