The HK Audio PR:O 18 S is an 18-inch passive subwoofer designed to provide deep, controlled bass delivery to modular PA systems. Its bass-reflex design and 18” transducer deliver a power handling of 500W RMS / 1,000W program / 1,500W peak into 4 Ω , delivering up to 129 dB peak level (semi-space measurement). It includes an M20 socket for mast-mounting a satellite and Speakon NL4 connectivity with filtered “Satellite Out” input and output for easy wiring of top-of-the-range speakers without external processors.

Thanks to its frequency response of 48 Hz – 150 Hz (±3 dB) and 38 Hz – 150 Hz (−10 dB) , the PR:O 18 S adds punch and extension to bands, DJs, and professional rentals in clubs, bars, and events. The acrylic-coated MDF enclosure, foam-lined steel grille, and side handles ensure durability and comfortable handling. It's also equipped with optional casters for easy transport.

Compatibility and notes

This model is passive and requires an external power amplifier (manufacturer's recommendation: 600–800 W RMS at 4 Ω per channel). It does not include amplification, phase control, gain, or the XLR connectors typical of the active version. For a SUB+TOP configuration, connect the amplifier to the IN of the sub and from the Satellite Out to the top speaker.
