HANDHELD DYNAMIC MICROPHONE
The NEOM USB is a USB condenser microphone, similar to the popular sE Electronics X1A studio microphone. The condenser microphone capsules capture sound in a very detailed and vivid manner, making them perfect for recording vocals and instruments.
USB microphones have built-in audio interfaces, which is what differentiates them from non-USB analog microphones. The NEOM USB's audio system allows us to record at resolutions up to 192 kHz at 24-bit. However, this maximum resolution creates very large audio files, which can waste hard drive space. We recommend using 48 kHz at 24-bit for most applications.
All sE products are designed to be professional-quality, and the NEOM USB is no exception! The desktop microphone stand is made of metal, rather than plastic, and is fitted with rubber feet to minimize any vibration. The microphone clip can also be rotated counterclockwise to detach for use with other full-size microphone stands. Additionally, the NEOM USB can be used with the sE Isolation Pack, which includes a studio shockmount and a metal pop filter.
The NEOM USB can be used with Windows and Mac systems, as well as Apple and Android portable devices. It comes complete with a USB-C to USB-A cable that can be used for devices equipped with a USB-A port. To connect to a device with a USB-C port, you can use a USB-C to USB-C cable. For other ports, i.e., micro-USB or Lightning, a suitable cable or adapter must be used.
Although no driver is required, we recommend that Windows users install our dedicated ASIO driver to take full advantage of the NEOM USB, including advanced control options, a virtual mixer, and virtual channels. This driver is available on our website, www.seelectronics.com .
