The L-TRONIK L-160 is an audio management device for distributed public address systems that includes a 24-hour weekly programmer (hours–minutes–seconds) , a USB MP3 player , and a 10-zone 100V speaker selector . Designed for professional installations such as hotels, shopping malls, schools, offices, and sports venues, it can automate background music and messages , switch power levels and speaker lines, and send announcements to the desired zones with priority over music . Operation is via the front panel using a keypad and a 192x64 LCD display (English) .

The L-160 simultaneously controls 10 100V line zones thanks to its 5 100V amplifier inputs , each switched to 2 100V line outputs . It incorporates 6 relay power outputs (4 programmable + 2 auxiliary) for switching external equipment on/off, with a total switched power ≤ 5 kW at 230 VAC . It has an emergency remote control input/output , integrated 0.5 W listening monitor with volume control and 230 VAC power supply in 19” / 2U rack format.

System communication is via an RJ45 port over a serial link, up to 1 km using Cat 5 cable. The OEM version documentation specifies RS422 , while the L-TRONIK card indicates RS485 ; in both cases the connection is serial over RJ45 and compatible with long-distance installations. The system is expandable using 10-zone modules ( L-300 series): the L-TRONIK card states up to 300 zones (30 × L-300) , while the reference OEM documentation indicates up to 160 zones with 10-zone selectors.
