The Intellivox-DSX500 is the flagship slimline speaker in the Intellivox DSX range. With an acoustic length exceeding 4m, the Intellivox-DSX500 not only offers long-throw capability, but also greater control in the low frequencies. A single Intellivox-DSX500 is capable of covering an area of ​​up to 70m, while maintaining an even sound pressure level. The twenty-eight custom-designed 4″ speakers and eight 1″ dome tweeters are driven by a sixteen-channel Class-D amplifier, fed by a sophisticated switching power supply, all combining to ensure years of reliable operation. The speakers themselves are arranged according to our proprietary algorithm. The dome tweeters in the DSX units not only improve horizontal coverage at high frequencies, but also enhance the subjective sound quality of the system for both speech and music. An extensive set of surveillance features has also been implemented to meet the demanding requirements of typical Voice Alarm (life safety) applications. The unit can be controlled using our proprietary WinControl software, which offers user-friendly control of beam steering, audio processing, and surveillance features. The increased low-mid frequency control offered by the array makes the Intellivox-DSX500 suitable for easy and unobtrusive deployment in very large, highly reverberant, and architecturally sensitive environments. The system's low frequency response can be easily extended using a JBL subwoofer system.
