The JBL Professional Control 68HP is a high-performance , two-way pendant loudspeaker designed for spaces with open ceilings and live acoustics, where wide, consistent coverage with a discreet aesthetic is required. Its 110° conical pattern allows for greater coverage with fewer points, optimizing costs without sacrificing quality.
The coaxial system integrates a Kevlar-reinforced 209 mm (8") woofer with a 50 mm (2") voice coil, along with a 25 mm (1") titanium dome compression driver , achieving high output (114 dB continuous / 120 dB peak) , exceptional clarity , and long-term reliability. It incorporates a 68 W multi-tap transformer for 70/100 V distributed lines, switchable to 8 Ω for maximum power at low impedance. The single-point suspension includes two sets (main and backup) of 4.5 m galvanized steel cables with Gripple turnbuckles for continuous height adjustment , and the HIPS construction with a zinc-plated steel grille provides robustness and durability. For protected/covered outdoor environments, the Control 68HP offers IP44 rating and exceeds MIL-Spec 810 environmental testing.
