The JBL Professional Control 68HP is a high-performance , two-way pendant loudspeaker designed for spaces with open ceilings and live acoustics where a consistent 110° coverage pattern and a discreet aesthetic are required. This pack includes two white units , ideal for installations in retail , hospitality, fitness centers, convention and exhibition centers, conference rooms, atriums, museums, or transit hubs.
Its coaxial design combines a Kevlar-reinforced 209 mm (8") woofer with a 50 mm (2") voice coil and a 25 mm (1") titanium dome compression driver , achieving high output (114 dB continuous, 120 dB peak) and exceptional clarity across the entire listening area. It features a 68 W multi-tap transformer for 70/100 V distributed lines, switchable to 8 Ω when maximum power from low-impedance amplification is required. The single-point suspension system includes two complete sets of 4.5 m galvanized steel cables (main and safety) with Gripple levelers for infinitely adjustable height, simplifying installation.
The high-impact polystyrene enclosure and powder-coated zinc-plated steel grille ensure strength and durability. For protected/enclosed outdoor applications, the Control 68HP offers IP44 (splashproof) rating and exceeds MIL-Spec 810 environmental testing. Both the loudspeaker and rigging system are UL listed , and 2-pin Euroblock connectors with rubber covers are supplied. All of this makes for a reliable, safe, and standardized solution for background music and voice reinforcement in professional installations.
