The JBL Professional Control 312CS is a high-performance 12″ in-ceiling subwoofer designed to powerfully extend bass response in commercial installations. Its driver utilizes a Kevlar-reinforced 300 mm woofer and a high-temperature 75 mm (3″) voice coil with a well-damped suspension and saturated gap magnet geometry to reduce distortion. With 400 W AES (2 h) and 93 dB sensitivity, it achieves up to 121 dB average SPL / 124 dB peak (measured in half-space), delivering deep bass with ample dynamic range. Its 366 x 366 mm ported metal baffle integrates the EZRail™ system, which simplifies mounting on the optional MTC-300BB12 rear enclosure (80 L / 3 ft³), and the removable multi-pin connector with screw terminals allows for quick line pre-wiring and loop-through installation.
The Control 312CS is designed to operate with an external active crossover and a dedicated amplifier channel for the subwoofer(s). Its omnidirectional coverage in the low-frequency range makes it an ideal match for JBL Control 321/322/328 full-range speakers or other in-ceiling systems requiring true low-frequency extension. For plenum/air handling space applications, the system is suitable when installed with a UL-listed backcan such as the MTC-300BB12 (recommended cutout size: 378 × 378 mm ).
