The JBL Professional Control 30 is a passive, tri-amplified, 3-way loudspeaker for fixed installation that combines extended bandwidth , extremely smooth response , and well-controlled 120° × 110° coverage in a compact, fully outdoor-ready format. Its design utilizes a 250 mm (10") woofer with a fiberglass/Kevlar® cone and 50 mm voice coil , along with a coaxial module integrating a 125 mm (5") anodized aluminum midrange driver and a 25 mm (1") titanium diaphragm compression driver . It incorporates SonicGuard® to protect the crossover network and transducers from overload, and a 150 W multi-tap transformer for 70/100 V lines, with a 4 Ω bypass for low-impedance operation.
Designed to withstand the elements, the HIPS (high-impact polystyrene) enclosure with internal polyurethane reinforcement and the WeatherMax™ foam-insulated steel grille exceed Mil Spec 810 testing (humidity, salt spray, temperature, and UV) and offer an IEC 529 IP-X5 rating . Installation is quick and secure thanks to the included InvisiBall® bracket and ten M6 suspension points or optional U-brackets . The connection panel integrates screw terminals with weatherproof covers and accepts bare wire up to 2.5 mm² and fork terminals.
