The JBL Professional Control 14C-VA is a two-way ceiling loudspeaker, EN54-24 certified, designed for voice evacuation and fixed PA systems that demand high intelligibility, reliability, and wide, even coverage. It features a 100mm woofer with a polypropylene cone and butyl rubber surround, paired with a 19mm liquid-cooled soft dome tweeter. The assembly is mounted in a vented, paintable, UV-resistant (UL94-V0 / UL94-5VB) baffle, with a pre-installed blind-mount metal backcan for quick installation and stable performance in plenum spaces.
With a bandwidth of 74 Hz to 20 kHz (−10 dB), 120° conical coverage, and 87 dB sensitivity, the Control 14C-VA delivers consistent on- and off-axis sound. It can operate on low impedance (8 Ω: 30 W continuous pink noise / 60 W program, 120 W peak) or on 70/100 V lines using its multi-tap transformer (25/12.5/6.3 W, plus 3.2 W at 70 V only). It features a ceramic connection block with brass inserts, a watertight cable gland for 4–9 mm round cable, and a thermal fuse, complying with BS5839 Part 8. Supplied in pairs (2 units), with grille, C-ring, ceiling rails, cutting template, and paint mask.
