The JBL AWC15LF is a bass reinforcement loudspeaker designed to extend the low-frequency capabilities of systems installed in demanding outdoor or indoor environments. Its 15-inch (380 mm) transducer with a Kevlar-reinforced cone , 75 mm voice coil, and saturated gap magnet geometry provides long excursion, low distortion, and a solid response down to 45 Hz (−10 dB) . A sensitivity of 94 dB (2.83 V/1 m, 80–300 Hz) and a power handling of 500 W (2 h IEC) allow for high levels while maintaining the clarity of the main system.
With an IP56 rating (minimum 5° down-tilt ), a high-rigidity ABS and fiberglass enclosure, and a zinc-rich powder-coated steel grille (with foam and mesh backing), the AWC15LF is designed to withstand rain, salt spray, UV radiation, and temperature fluctuations. It integrates a 300W 70/100V multi-tap transformer —plus an 8Ω bypass —to accommodate distributed lines or low-impedance amplification. Connection is made in a weatherproof compartment with a covered terminal block and gland nut for round cables (Ø 4–9 mm). A color-matched U-bracket is included for quick and secure mounting.
