JBL Professional AW566 - High-power all-weather two-way speaker with 1 x 15" LF and rotating horn (60° x 60°)
The JBL Professional AW566 is a two-way passive loudspeaker for fixed installation, designed for reliable performance in demanding indoor and outdoor environments. It features a 15" JBL 2265H woofer with Differential Drive® technology and a JBL 2432H compression driver (1.5" exit, 3" voice coil) coupled to a large-format PT™ (Progressive Transition) waveguide with a 60° × 60° pattern. The rotating horn ensures proper coverage in both vertical and horizontal mounting, guaranteeing intelligibility and pattern control across wide areas.
For versatile installation, the system can be operated at low impedance (8 Ω) or on distribution lines thanks to its internal 400 W transformer for 70/100 V with selectable taps. Its hand-laminated, heavily braced fiberglass enclosure, along with the three-layer stainless steel grille and IP55C (IEC 529) environmental rating, provides true weather resistance against rain, humidity, dust, and salt spray. It is supplied with a heavy-duty U-shaped mounting bracket and is available in gray (gel-coat similar to Pantone 420C) and black .
Note: Some promotional materials may show a non-LS version. Only the LS models are sealed, and these models also comply with EN 54-24 for voice evacuation systems. The standard AW566 is not an EN 54-24 model.
