The JBL Professional AW526-LS is a passive 2-way loudspeaker designed for fixed installations in exposed outdoor and indoor environments where high intelligibility and reliability are required. It features a 15" JBL 2265H woofer with Differential Drive® technology (dual voice coil/dual air gap) and a JBL 2432H compression driver (1.5" exit, 3" voice coil), coupled to a large-format PT™ (Progressive Transition) waveguide with a 120° × 60° pattern. The waveguide is rotatable , maintaining pattern control in both vertical and horizontal mounting.
The LS model is designed for life safety applications and complies with EN 54-24 . In this version, critical components are sealed; promotional materials often show a non-LS unit for illustrative purposes. For maximum integration versatility, the system can operate on 8 Ω or distribution lines thanks to its internal 400 W transformer for 70/100 V with selectable taps. The enclosure, constructed of hand-laminated and braced fiberglass , along with the three-layer stainless steel grille , provides true weather protection with an IP55C (IEC 529) rating. It is supplied with a corrosion-resistant U-shaped mounting bracket and is available in gray (gel-coat similar to Pantone 420C) and black .
