The JBL Professional AW295-LS is a passive 2-way system designed for demanding indoor and outdoor fixed installations where high sound pressure levels, controlled coverage, and consistent intelligibility are required. It combines a 12" JBL 2262H woofer with Differential Drive® technology (dual voice coil and dual air gap) and a JBL 2432H compression driver (1.5" exit, 3" voice coil), coupled to an oversized PT™ (Progressive Transition) waveguide with a nominal 90° × 50° pattern. The waveguide is rotatable , allowing for pattern control in both vertical and horizontal mounting.
The LS model is designed for life safety applications and is compliant with EN 54-24 . In this version, critical components are sealed to meet the standard's requirements; therefore, promotional materials may sometimes display a photo of a non-LS version for illustrative purposes only. For versatile integration, the AW295-LS can operate on 8 Ω or distribution lines thanks to its internal 400 W transformer for 70/100 V with selectable taps.
Its all-weather construction is genuine: a 100% hand-laminated fiberglass enclosure , heavily braced, and a three-layer stainless steel grille with open-cell foam, providing protection against rain, humidity, dust, and salt spray. It has an IP55C environmental rating and comes with a corrosion-resistant U-shaped mounting bracket . Available in gray (gel-coat similar to Pantone 420C) and black finishes.
