PROEL HPC710 - Flat Speaker Cable for Professional Hi-Fi and High Fidelity
The PROEL HPC710 represents excellence in audio transmission for high-fidelity systems. Meticulously designed to meet the demands of audiophiles and sound professionals, this two-conductor flat speaker cable combines a discreet aesthetic with superior electrical performance. Its structure is optimized to minimize signal loss over long distances, ensuring that your amplifier's power reaches the speakers with maximum integrity and sonic purity.
Unlike conventional cables, the HPC710 stands out for its flat geometry and hybrid conductor construction. Manufactured in Italy to Proel's strict quality standards, this cable is the ideal solution for installations where visual discretion is as important as audio quality. Its flexible, transparent PVC jacket not only protects the copper core but also allows for seamless integration into any home or professional environment.
Main features
The PROEL HPC710 stands out for a number of technical attributes that place it above standard hardware store cables:
- Ultra Flat Design: Its low profile allows for almost invisible installation, ideal for passing under carpets, rugs or baseboards without creating bumps or irregularities in the floor.
- Hybrid Polarization Conductors: Incorporates one bare copper conductor and one tinned copper conductor. This visual difference makes polarity identification instantaneous and error-free during connection, without the need for printed markings that fade over time.
- High Cross Section: With a robust conductor section (equivalent to 12 AWG), it offers extremely low electrical resistance, allowing a superior damping factor and more controlled and deeper bass.
- '64 Shore' PVC Cover: The outer covering is made of a specific hardness PVC that offers the perfect balance between flexibility to curve corners and mechanical resistance against footsteps or abrasion.
Benefits for your sound system
Incorporating the PROEL HPC710 cable into your audio chain brings tangible improvements to both installation and listening experience:
- Sound Transparency: Thanks to its low capacitance and resistance, the cable does not "color" the sound. The highs remain crystal clear and the lows powerful, respecting the original sound signature of your speakers.
- Clean and Professional Installations: Its flat format eliminates visual clutter. It's the perfect option for living rooms, home theaters, or studios where a minimalist aesthetic is desired without any wall renovations.
- Long-Term Durability: The use of tinned copper in one of the conductors not only helps with polarity, but also offers extra protection against oxidation, ensuring that the connection remains optimal for years.
Recommended use cases
This cable is extremely versatile and adapts to multiple scenarios:
- Home Cinema and High Fidelity: Connecting floorstanding (tower) or bookshelf speakers to AV receivers and high-power stereo amplifiers.
- Hidden Installations: Perimeter wiring in living rooms, passing behind furniture or under carpets where a round cable would be an obstacle.
- High-Quality Public Address Systems: Fixed installations in restaurants, boutiques, or conference rooms that use low-impedance passive speakers and require discreet but efficient wiring.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the cable have positive and negative markings?
Yes, the difference is physical and visual. One of the conductors is reddish copper in color, and the other is silver (tinned). This allows for easy identification of the polarity at both ends without any possibility of error.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
The HPC710 is designed primarily for indoor use (home hi-fi and studio). Although its casing is durable, it does not have specific specifications for outdoor use or direct burial in damp soil.
Does the flat shape affect sound quality?
Conversely, the parallel and separate arrangement of conductors in a flat design can help maintain consistent inductance and capacitance values along the cable, promoting stable signal transmission.
Project description
Professional flat speaker cable (Flat Series) consisting of two parallel 3.0 mm² (12 AWG) conductors. Each conductor is made up of 0.15 mm strands, combining bare copper and tinned copper for easy polarity identification. Outer insulation is provided by a flexible 64 Shore hardness PVC jacket in a clear or translucent finish. Conductor resistance is 3.75 Ohm/Km at 20°C, and nominal capacitance is 80 pF/mA at 1 kHz. Approximate outer dimensions are 2 x 4.60 mm. Designed for low-impedance applications in fixed installations and hi-fi systems.
