BSS BLUAEC-IN - 4-channel Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) input card for Soundweb London
The BSS BLUAEC-IN is an analog input card with AEC designed for Soundweb London modular chassis. It adds 4 mic/line inputs with independent acoustic echo cancellation per channel, switchable 48V phantom power per input, and software analog gain in 6 dB steps (0–48 dB). With individual AEC references , AGC (Automatic Gain Control), Noise Cancellation , and Non-Linear Processing (NLP) , this card optimizes intelligibility in conference rooms by preventing sound from the loudspeakers from re-entering the microphones.
It is compatible with chassis such as the BLU-800/805/806 , BLU-320/325/326 , BLU-160 and BLU-120 , and its use requires 48 kHz system operation. In addition to the AEC path, each channel offers a low latency “direct mic feed” for local reinforcement, allowing the direct signal to be mixed while the conference bus uses the AEC-processed signal. Configuration and routing is performed in HiQnet London Architect / Audio Architect using a drag-and-drop workflow.
Main features
- 4 mic/line inputs with 48 V phantom power switchable per channel.
- Independent AEC per channel with individual reference (ideal for multiple rooms in a single chassis).
- AGC , Noise Cancellation and NLP to improve level, reduce noise and minimize residual echo.
- Software analog gain from 0 to +48 dB in 6 dB steps.
- Full-band direct mic feed for local reinforcement with low latency .
- Removable Phoenix/Combicon connectors in two blocks (inputs 1–2 and 3–4).
- Broad compatibility with the aforementioned Soundweb London modular chassis.
- 48 kHz operation (requirement for AEC cards in the platform).
Product benefits
- Superior intelligibility in hybrid, UC, or VoIP conferencing by eliminating echo and constant noise (HVAC, projectors).
- Design flexibility : AEC references per channel and direct signal mixing for local PA.
- Scalability : Add AEC channels where needed within a single Soundweb London chassis.
- Professional integration : software control, industrial connectors, and familiar workflow from Audio/London Architect.
Use cases
- Meeting rooms, boardrooms, and classrooms with table/ceiling microphones and return via room speakers.
- Auditoriums and multipurpose spaces that require local mixing and, at the same time, processed output to conference systems.
- Corporate integrations with multiple spaces sharing the same chassis (independent AEC references).
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does it work at 96 kHz? No. Soundweb London AEC cards must be used with the system at 48 kHz .
- How many AEC channels does this card support? 4 independent AEC channels per BLUAEC-IN.
- Can I reinforce the room without the latency of AEC? Yes. Use the direct mic feed output for the local PA and the AEC route for the conference.
- Which chassis are compatible? BLU-800/805/806, BLU-320/325/326, BLU-160, and BLU-120 (at 48 kHz).
