The HMI family is characterized by its high efficiency (up to 100 lm/W at the range level), as well as being dimmable and supporting hot-restart , facilitating quick changes during production without waiting for the lamp to cool down. The HMI 250 W/SE model has a nominal lifespan of 250 hours . Its compact design ( Ø 12 mm , length 84 mm , LCL 39 mm ) allows it to be integrated into spotlights and lighting equipment for film/TV and live performances with limited space.
Due to its high luminance , UV radiation emission (not applicable to HMI UVS versions with integrated UV filter), and high internal operating pressure , this lamp must be used exclusively in enclosed, specifically designed luminaires with suitable filters that reduce UV radiation to acceptable levels. It contains mercury ; safety and professional handling guidelines must be followed.
