HYBRID AUDIO INTERFACE (VARIOUS SYSTEMS) The new MOTU UltraLite AVB is a compact 18-in/18-out DSP-based mixing interface with wireless mix control, networkable audio capabilities thanks to market-leading AVB technology, and more than enough analog audio quality for any mobile audio recording on the road. The new UltraLite AVB provides more I/O than previous models, with separate microphone and guitar inputs (two of each with both mics at the front, but one mic at the front and one at the rear), 8 channels of ADAT optical (switchable to stereo TOSLink), 6 x 8 balanced analog 1/4-inch jack inputs and also MIDI IN/OUT, all housed in a half-rack aluminum alloy chassis that will fit in any backpack. The balanced analog outputs feature a dynamic range of 117 dB, rivaling much higher priced audio interfaces. An even more powerful DSP doubles the processing power available to the mixer, redesigned to recreate the layout of a mixing console, offering 48 inputs, 12 stereo mix buses, and a 32-bit floating-point effects processing engine, including analog-modeled EQ, vintage compression, and classic reverb. The versatile routing matrix allows inputs to be quickly patched to different outputs or even split to multiple destinations simultaneously. You can even use the UltraLite AVB as if it were a standalone mixing console, emulating the latest live stage patch mixers with remote control that are appearing on the market, and control everything wirelessly from a web-based software application that runs on any iPad, iPhone, tablet, smartphone or laptop that you have at the time, achieving unlimited versatility and scalability to cover all types of events at really tight costs and with the advantage of mobility and the practical invisibility of the technician who can move freely or stand wherever he wants, and the reception of audio wirelessly or using a cheap and handy Ethernet cable without any distance limitations.
