MuxLab IMU-500760-RX-KVM - HDMI over IP KVM Receiver 4K/60 without Latency
The MuxLab IMU-500760-RX-KVM is a high-performance KVM-over-IP receiver designed for distributing audio, video, and control signals in professional environments. This device receives HDMI signals with resolutions up to 4K at 60Hz (4:4:4) over a standard IP network, delivering exceptional image quality without compression and with zero latency. Thanks to its advanced technology, it is the perfect solution for extending and managing KVM (Keyboard, Video, and Mouse) signals over distances of up to 100 meters using a single Cat5e/6 cable.
As part of the MuxLab ecosystem, this receiver integrates seamlessly with compatible transmitters (model 500760-TX, not included) and can be managed via the MuxLab Pro Network Controller (500811) or the MuxLab Control application. This flexibility allows for point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations, adapting to any installation need, from a simple extender to complex video matrices and video wall systems.
Main features
- Uncompromising 4K video quality: Supports resolutions up to 4K (3840x2160) at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, ensuring accurate color reproduction and superior image sharpness, ideal for detailed content.
- Zero Latency: Signal transmission is instantaneous (0 ms latency), ensuring real-time response between the source and the operator. This is crucial for interactive applications, video editing, process control, and medical environments.
- Complete KVM extension: It has three USB 2.0 ports for connecting peripherals such as keyboards, mice, touch screens, printers or storage units, allowing total remote control of the source equipment.
- Versatile connectivity: It incorporates bidirectional RS232 and IR control ports, facilitating integration with automation systems and control of third-party devices such as projectors or screens.
- Embedded audio: It has an analog audio output (3.5 mm minijack) that allows you to extract the audio from the HDMI signal and send it to an external sound system, such as amplifiers or speakers.
- Transmission over IP: Uses the standard Ethernet (10G) network infrastructure to distribute signals, providing enormous flexibility, scalability and simplified installation using Cat5e/6 cabling.
Benefits for the integrator and the user
The MuxLab 500760-RX-KVM receiver is designed to deliver maximum reliability and performance in mission-critical installations. Its ability to operate over standard IP networks greatly simplifies the deployment of large-scale video distribution systems, eliminating the need for costly proprietary cabling. Zero latency ensures a seamless and natural user experience, identical to working directly on the source computer. The ability to create video wall configurations and switching matrices makes it a powerful and adaptable tool for a wide range of vertical markets.
Use cases
This receiver is the ideal choice for a variety of professional applications, including:
- Control rooms and command centers: For monitoring and managing multiple sources in real time without delay.
- Medical environments: Transmission of high-resolution medical images for diagnosis and operating rooms.
- Audiovisual production and post-production: 4K video editing with precise remote control of workstations.
- Digital Signage and Videowalls: Creation of impressive video murals in commercial, corporate or leisure spaces.
- Education and conference rooms: Distribution of high-quality content to multiple screens with interactive control.
- Data centers: Remote access and management of servers with exceptional KVM performance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a transmitter for this receiver to work?
Yes, this is a receiving device. It requires a compatible transmitter, such as the MuxLab 500760-TX, to send the source signal over the IP network.
What type of network switch is needed?
For optimal performance and to support uncompressed 4K video transmission, a 10Gbps Ethernet network switch with support for Jumbo Frames is required.
Can it be used to create a video wall?
Yes, by using multiple 500760-RX receivers together with the MuxLab Pro Network Controller (500811), it is possible to configure and manage video wall systems with great flexibility.
Does it support the expansion of other USB devices besides keyboard and mouse?
Yes, USB 2.0 ports are compatible with a wide range of peripherals, including touchscreens, flash drives, printers, and webcams.
