SURGICAL PRECISION

The "M" shape concept was introduced in both the new 5" W-shaped midrange and 1.5" Beryllium tweeter to increase rigidity. The 'M' shape, which moves in and out in a perfect pistonic motion, provides a strong, flat waveform and a true "phantom" center. These drivers deliver exceptional transient reproduction without causing ear fatigue.

IMPORTANT EXTENSION OF GRAVES

The long-excursion 13" subwoofer delivers excellent definition and significant bass extension—essential for main monitors. Multiple simulations have been performed to deliver increasingly precise bass while simultaneously attenuating port noise. The speaker cabinet is constructed of MDF panels reinforced by a specially designed reinforcement mesh to eliminate any cabinet deformation. The sound is deep, powerful, and sensational.

UNIQUE EXTERNAL AMPLIFICATION

The UTOPIA MAIN 112 and UTOPIA MAIN 212's patented amplifiers utilize a combination of Class H design and current-mode amplification. Developed by Focal, this electronics delivers the most natural and transparent amplification possible for loudspeakers. Combined with analog filtering, it achieves the lowest harmonic distortion (THD) ever measured in an anechoic chamber.
