The JBL Professional MTC-PC3 is a set of two sealed terminal panel covers that improves the weather resistance of many Control Contractor, Control, and CBT loudspeakers. It mounts over the loudspeaker’s standard 43 x 43 mm entry cup , creating a watertight gland passage that protects the connections from water ingress. The MTC-PC3 version has side-exit cable exit , a convenient orientation for flush-to-wall or low-profile installations. The assembly is supplied in black , and the cover is repaintable to blend in with the surroundings (the gland nut should not be painted).

The MTC-PC3 fits the standard JBL 43x43mm intake cup and includes, but is not limited to, the following models (current and previous generations): Control 23-1, 25-1, 28-1, SB2210, 25AV, 29AV, 30, 31, 1, 5 and CBT series 70J-1, 70JE-1, 200LA-1, 100LA-1, 50LA-1 ; plus Control 23, 23T, 25, 25T, 28, 28T-60 . Not compatible with the older Control SB210 (which used the slightly larger MTC-PC4 cover).

Wiring and installation requirements

• Cable outer diameter: between 4.3 mm and 11.9 mm ; the cable must have a round or nearly round outer jacket . Zip cables with two parallel conductors are not permitted.
• New screw pairs: Always use the screws supplied with the cover and the adhesive sealing gasket .
• Recommended cable gland tightening torque: ≈ 9 N m to ensure sealing around the cable.
• Usage Warning: The cover is used only to protect the connections ; it should not be used to hang or suspend the speaker.
