The JBL Professional AW266-BK is a high-power passive loudspeaker designed for fixed outdoor and exposed indoor installations requiring consistent intelligibility, wide dynamic range, and maximum reliability. It features a 12" JBL 2262H woofer with Differential Drive® technology (dual voice coil and dual air gap) and a JBL 2432H compression driver (1.5" exit, 3" voice coil), coupled to a large-format PT™ (Progressive Transition) waveguide with 60° × 60° coverage . The PT™ waveguide is rotatable , allowing the system to maintain its pattern in both vertical and horizontal mounting.
The AW266-BK can be operated on 8 Ω or distribution lines thanks to its internal 400 W transformer for 70/100 V with selectable taps, simplifying large-scale PA and sound reinforcement projects. Its all-weather construction is truly exceptional: a 100% hand-laminated fiberglass enclosure with internal bracing and a three-layer (16-gauge) stainless steel grille with open-cell foam and mesh; all with an IP55C environmental rating against rain, humidity, dust, and salt spray. This black (-BK) finish is also available in gray (gel-coat similar to Pantone 420C).
