The JBL Professional Control 12C-VA is a compact, full-range ceiling loudspeaker, EN54-24 (Type A) certified, designed for emergency PA and fixed sound reinforcement with high intelligibility. It features a wide-bandwidth 76 mm (3") transducer mounted in a vented, paintable, UV-resistant baffle (UL94-V0 and UL94-5VB rated ABS), along with a pre-installed, blind-mount metal backcan that speeds up installation and stabilizes performance in plenum spaces. It offers 130° conical coverage and a frequency response of 68 Hz to 17 kHz (−10 dB), maintaining consistent sound both on and off-axis.
The Control 12C-VA can operate on low impedance (8 Ω) or 70/100 V lines using a multi-tap transformer. For life safety applications, it features a ceramic connection block with brass inserts, a sealed cable gland for 4–9 mm diameter cables, a thermal fuse, and a design with a minimum IP-21 protection rating. It is supplied in a pack of two units with a snap-on grid, C-ring, tile rails, cutting template, and paint mask.
