The JBL Professional AW566-LS is a passive, fixed-installation loudspeaker designed for high performance and reliability in exposed outdoor and indoor environments. It combines a 15" JBL 2265H woofer with Differential Drive® technology and a JBL 2432H compression driver (1.5" exit, 3" voice coil), coupled to a large-format PT™ (Progressive Transition) waveguide with a controlled 60° × 60° pattern. The assembly provides uniform coverage and low distortion, and can be mounted vertically or horizontally thanks to its rotating horn. The LS model incorporates sealed components and complies with EN 54-24 , making it suitable for life safety/voice evacuation applications . To withstand harsh weather conditions, the AW566-LS utilizes a hand-laminated, heavily braced fiberglass enclosure, a three-layer stainless steel grille with open-cell foam, and IP55C (IEC 529) environmental certification. It includes an internal 400W transformer for 70/100V lines (with selectable taps) as well as 8Ω operation, and is supplied with a heavy-duty U-shaped mounting bracket . Available in gray (Pantone 420C similar gel-coat) and black finishes.
