The JBL 705P is a 2-way powered reference monitor designed for critical music recording, film post-production and broadcast production. It features a 127 mm (5") JBL 725G woofer and JBL 2409H compression driver housed in JBL's Image Control Waveguide , which ensures precise acoustic transitions between pathways, controlled coverage, and neutral on- and off-axis response. 250 W + 250 W Class D bi-amping and internal 32-bit/192 kHz floating-point DSP deliver true dynamic range and enable working at greater distances than comparable-sized monitors. The 705P offers 45 Hz–25 kHz (±3 dB) response , 39 Hz–36 kHz range , and >101 dB SPL continuous / >107 dB peak (80 Hz–20 kHz, 1 m), with a 1.9 kHz crossover. The rear panel features balanced XLR/TRS analog inputs and an AES3 digital input with pass-through output (up to 192 kHz), plus controls and an LCD display for setting Room EQ , User EQ , sensitivity, room delay, and AV Sync . The birch plywood enclosure is reinforced and features mounting points for secure installation; the grille is steel.
