Electro-Voice HM 2 - Cardioid Condenser Headset Microphone with TA4F Connector
The Electro-Voice HM 2 is an electret condenser headworn microphone with a cardioid polar pattern , designed to deliver clear, controlled vocals while keeping your hands free. The lightweight (25g) headband sits behind the head and remains stable even during movement, while the flexible boom allows precise capsule positioning for optimal intelligibility and gain-before-feedback. The capsule features a 30Hz-18kHz response and proximity effect similar to a handheld vocal microphone , facilitating a natural transition between the two types of miking.
Includes a black windscreen and an integrated 1.2 m cable terminated in TA4F , compatible with all Electro-Voice bodypacks . For wired applications, a TA4F→XLR adapter such as the TXA can be used. Its 4 mV/Pa sensitivity , 120 dB max SPL , and 1 to 10 V DC power supply are suitable for professional portable wireless systems used in stages, classrooms, gymnasiums, and places of worship.

- What wireless systems does it work with? All Electro-Voice beltpacks with TA4F (e.g., R200, RE-2/RE-1, RE3), and many Telex systems that share the same pinout.
- Can I connect it directly to an XLR? Not directly; for wired use, use a TA4F-to-XLR adapter that provides the correct power.
