Its paintable, flame-retardant ABS construction, powder-coated steel grille , and IP54 rating ensure resistance to solar radiation, salt spray, SO₂, and chlorine per IEC 60068. It features a 4" woofer (tropicalized polypropylene) and a 0.75" waveguide tweeter for 110° × 110° nominal coverage , 87 dB (1 W/1 m) sensitivity , and a rated maximum SPL of 103 dB ( 109 dB peak ).

The mounting system includes a pre-assembled bracket with a 90° horizontal and 45° vertical rotation, allowing electrical connections to be made directly from the bracket itself for a quick and easy installation. Connectivity is achieved via two 4-pin Euroblock connectors (parallel input/output) with captive screws and a cable capacity of up to 2.5 mm² , making it easy to connect multiple units on the same line. With 40 W continuous into 8 Ω (160 W peak), a 75 Hz to 20 kHz (−10 dB) / 100 Hz to 20 kHz (−3 dB) response, and a very compact size ( 193 × 140 × 118 mm , 1.5 kg per unit), the EVID-S4.2W is a robust and discreet solution for commercial projects.
