Ecudap EQD 50SR XBasis – Analogue Sound Limiter-Recorder (EQD‑50SR)

The Ecudap EQD 50SR XBasis is a sound limiter-recorder with fully analog inputs and outputs, designed to provide precise sound level control in venues. Configurable via USB using the EcuDap Toolbox software, it allows maximum emission and transmission limits to be defined using third-octave sound insulation or using the values established in the UNE-EN ISO 717-1:1997 standard.

Main features

  • Balanced analog inputs and outputs (XLR), compatible with professional audio equipment.
  • 24-bit AD/DA converters with dynamic range greater than 110 dB, high voltage handling capacity without distortion.
  • Spectral limiting configurable via EcuDap Toolbox: adjustment in third octaves or according to ISO 717‑1.
  • Type II acoustic measurement with a microphone, dB(A) and dB(C) weighting, according to IEC 61672.
  • USB port for configuration from PC.
  • RS‑485 port for connecting external displays and an optional Ethernet accessory with LAN/WAN connection for data transmission and updates.
  • Acoustic measurement range: 50–110 dB(A); frequency responses from 100 Hz to 8 kHz.

Key benefits

  • Preserved audio quality: Analog processing with multi-bit digital conversion preserves original dynamics without colored tonality.
  • Robust regulatory compliance: control in third octaves or using ISO values, ideal for acoustic certification.
  • Efficient control with a single microphone: simplifies installation while maintaining accuracy in Type II measurements (IEC 61672).
  • Scalability and connectivity: supports display integration, Ethernet networks, and data transmission for remote management.
  • Easy setup: Intuitive software to adjust levels, schedules, and exceptions according to regulations.

Use cases

  • Bars, nightclubs and auditoriums that require approved sound level control.
  • Venues with professional analog equipment that need to maintain tonal integrity.
  • Installations that require real-time level display using external monitors.
  • Regulated urban environments that require certified acoustic emissions.

Frequently Asked Questions
