Power Dynamics 952.530 - 100V 5" Basic Ceiling Speaker White

The Power Dynamics 952.530 is a ceiling speaker designed to provide a reliable, high-quality sound solution for commercial and public address installations. Part of the Basic series, this model is ideal for playing background music and voice announcements with exceptional clarity, thanks to its 5-inch (12.7 cm) woofer.

Its main feature is the incorporation of a 100V line transformer, an essential technology for distributed sound systems. This allows multiple speakers to be connected in parallel over long distances without signal or quality loss, ensuring uniform sound performance throughout the space. The speaker offers selectable 3W and 6W power taps, giving the installer great flexibility to adjust and balance the volume in different areas according to the specific needs of the environment.

Made with a robust and durable ABS plastic housing and finished in a discreet white, the Power Dynamics 952.530 integrates seamlessly into most ceilings, suspended ceilings, and panels. Its low-profile design, along with the protective metal grille, ensures a clean, professional, and virtually invisible appearance. Installation is quick and easy using a spring-loaded clamp or clip system that guarantees a firm and secure hold.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this speaker need an amplifier?
Yes, it is a passive speaker and requires to be connected to an amplifier compatible with 100V line outputs to function properly.

How many speakers can I connect to the same amplifier?
The number of speakers depends on the amplifier's total power. The sum of the power ratings of each speaker (for example, 10 speakers at 6W total 60W) must not exceed the amplifier's 100V output power.

Can it be used in a low impedance home audio system?
Although the speaker has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, it is primarily designed for 100V systems. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use it in the configuration for which it was designed.

Is it possible to paint the grille?
Yes, the metal grille can be painted with spray paint suitable for metals. It is recommended to remove it from the speaker and apply thin coats to avoid clogging the perforations and affecting sound quality.
