AKG C518 M: Miniature Condenser Microphone for Drums and Percussion
The AKG C518 M is a miniature cardioid condenser microphone specifically designed to capture drums and percussion with exceptional sound quality. Its cardioid polar pattern minimizes sound spillage from nearby instruments, ensuring accurate and focused capture of the instrument.
The adjustable screw-type clamp allows the microphone to be securely attached to the top rim of most drums or percussion instruments. Additionally, the external shock mount provides excellent isolation from mechanical noise. A special stabilizer with a "knee" mechanism keeps the gooseneck at a defined angle, ensuring a stable position during performances or recordings.
The C518 M also includes a built-in, switchable low-cut filter, allowing the microphone's frequency response to be tailored to suit the sound of the instrument.
The A 400 single plate adapter allows easy connection of AKG wireless transmitters, such as the PT 400 and PT 40 , for quick and efficient wireless setups.
