AKG SR470 BD7 - UHF Space Diversity Receiver for WMS470 Systems (500.1–530.5 MHz)
The AKG SR470 BD7 is a professional UHF receiver for the WMS470 series, designed for installations and live performances that demand reliability and quick start-up. Operating in Band 7 (BD7) , with a frequency range of 500.1 to 530.5 MHz, it offers infrared synchronization, microcontroller-controlled spatial diversity , and Auto Setup, Environment Scan , and Rehearsal functions that speed up the search for clean channels in crowded environments. Its half-rack (1U) metal chassis is prepared for 19″ mounting and includes a rack kit and two BNC antennas. It incorporates balanced XLR outputs (switchable to -30/0 dB) and unbalanced 6.3 mm jack, with a maximum level of +9 dBu, as well as programmable backlit indicators for critical alerts such as audio peak, low transmitter battery, or weak RF signal. It is compatible with the HT470 and PT470 transmitters of the WMS470 range.
Main features
- BD7 working range (UHF 500.1–530.5 MHz) with approximately 30.5 MHz tuning width.
- Up to 16 simultaneous channels within the same band; larger multiband systems possible.
- ≈1200 selectable frequencies (25 kHz steps) for flexible coordination.
- Auto Setup, Environment Scan, and Rehearsal to locate free channels and verify the system before the show.
- Spatial diversity with two antennas and µC control for stable reception.
- Pilot Tone that prevents unwanted noise and transmits status data (low battery, etc.).
- IR frequency synchronization and adjustments with compatible transmitter.
- Outputs : Balanced XLR (−30/0 dB switchable) and unbalanced 6.3 mm jack; max. level +9 dBu.
- Audio response 35–20,000 Hz, SNR 120 dB(A) and THD 0.3% at 1 kHz.
- RF Connectivity : 2 x 50 Ω BNC antenna inputs.
- Metal construction , 19″ half rack (1U), rack kit included.
- Power supply 12 V DC / 500 mA.
Product benefits
- Fast and secure deployment : Environment scanning and self-tuning minimize setup times and failures due to interference.
- On-stage reliability : Spatial diversity and pilot tone reduce cut-outs and ignition noise.
- Easy integration : professional XLR/jack outputs and switchable level to suit mixers and installation systems.
- Scalability : Up to 16 channels per band and compatibility with antenna accessories for medium and large systems.
- Proactive Maintenance : Programmable visual alerts for RF, audio spikes, and low transmitter battery.
Use cases
- Conferences and corporate events with multiple wireless microphones in parallel.
- Medium-sized theaters and cultural centers that require rapid coordination between functions.
- Houses of worship and education where RF stability and ease of use are essential.
