How does UV-C light kill microorganisms (bacteria and viruses)?
- The cell nucleus of microorganisms (bacteria and viruses) contains thymine, a chemical building block of DNA/RNA. This element absorbs UV-C light at a specific wavelength of 253.7 nm and modifies it to such an extent (formation of thymine dimers) that the cell is no longer able to multiply and survive.
- UV-C light (253.7nm) penetrates the cell wall of the microorganism.
- High-energy UV-C photons are absorbed by cellular proteins and DNA/RNA.
- UV-C light damages the protein structure causing metabolic disruption.
- DNA/RNA is chemically altered, so the organisms can no longer replicate. • The organisms are unable to metabolize and replicate, and CANNOT cause disease or deterioration.

UV-C irradiation measurement
- Place the UV-C luminaire at a height of 1m, place a UV detector meter under the UV-C lamp.
- After the UV-C luminaire has been operating for 5 minutes, test the UV-C irradiation at a distance of 1 m. ( μW/cm2 )

Warning
- An insufficient amount of UV-C cannot achieve the desired purifying effect.
- UV-C rays can age non-metallic materials such as plastics, rubber, etc.
- Cover all non-metallic materials exposed to UV-C rays when using this product.
- Never expose plants to UV-C rays.
- Unplug the product during maintenance and repair.
- The UV intensity of this product is determined by its service life. Replace the bulb in a timely manner when the accumulated UV-C bulb service life exceeds its lifespan.
- This product must be installed and maintained by a professional technician . Wear protective eyewear (and protective clothing, if necessary) to prevent direct exposure of human skin, mucous membranes, and eyes to UV-C rays.
- The use of the product in spaces with flammable and explosive materials is strictly prohibited.
- Do not block the air inlets and outlets during product operation; the filter screen and UV-C bulb surface should be cleaned regularly depending on the environment in which they are used.
- Do not unplug the product randomly during the air purification process.
- Keep the area you are disinfecting clean and dry, close doors and windows, and prevent outside air circulation when using this product.
- Do not use any fans in the room while the UV bulb is in operation.
- This product must be equipped with a separate on/off switch, and the installation height of the switch from the ground must be greater than 2 meters.
- The switch must be equipped with a locking device that can only be manipulated by a specialized operator.
- The original design and testing of this product are based on the OSRAM HNS T8 30W double-ended UV fluorescent tube. Performance may vary when used with other light sources.
- Osram HNS tubes contain mercury; follow local regulations for the disposal of used light sources.
- You should wait 5 seconds before turning the bulb back on immediately after turning it off, as a systematic 3 to 5 second reset is required.
