The Samson AirLine 88 AG8 Guitar System (G) is a UHF wireless system for guitar and bass that eliminates the bodypack and the cable between instrument and receiver. Includes the AG8 plug-in transmitter with dual-position 1/4" connectors (suitable for Fender/Strat and Gibson/Les Paul outputs) and the CR88 true diversity receiver with IR sync , balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" outputs , and a 19" rackmount kit . The G-Band version operates on 863–865 MHz (license-free in much of Europe), offering up to 16 selectable channels , simultaneous operation of up to 8 systems per band (region dependent), and an approximate line-of-sight range of 90 m . The AG8 provides up to 12 hours of runtime on a single AA battery and features built-in Gain control , Mute switch , and a low-battery LED . The receiver adds Tone-Key and Auto-Mute functions to silence dropouts and prevent unwanted noise.
