BST AD600 - Class-D digital power amplifier 2×450 W/4 Ω and 2×300 W/8 Ω (900 W bridge)
The BST AD600 amplifier is a professional 1U 19″ rackmount unit delivering 2 × 300 W RMS into 8 Ω, 2 × 450 W RMS into 4 Ω and 900 W RMS bridged into 8 Ω. Featuring a Class D topology with progressive air cooling and switching power supply, it combines high efficiency, very low weight (< 3 kg) and a small footprint for space-sensitive installations. It features multiple protections—overheating, high-frequency burst, short-circuit, DC current and soft-start—and a built-in limiter to ensure reliable operation on the road, in fixed installations or in studio applications.
Main features
- Operating modes: Stereo (2 ×) or bridged (1 ×) via rear selector
- RMS power: 2 × 300 W at 8 Ω / 2 × 450 W at 4 Ω / 1 × 900 W bridge@8 Ω
- Topology: Class D digital amplification with switching power supply
- Input: Balanced XLR and 6.3 mm jack connectors
- Outputs: Turnlock for speakers and terminal blocks
- Integrated protections: Thermal, VHF, short circuit, DC, soft-start and internal limiter
- Cooling: Fans with progressive temperature control
- Compact format: 1 U 19″ rack, reduced depth (approx. 170 mm) and light weight (< 3 kg)
Product benefits
- Energy efficiency: Class D and switching power supply reduce consumption and heat dissipation.
- Professional reliability: Protection and limiter circuits prevent damage to heavy loads.
- Configuration versatility: Switch between stereo and bridged depending on power needs.
- Easy integration: XLR/jack inputs and Turnlock/terminal outputs allow quick connection to any system.
- Optimized mounting: 1 U and shallow depth facilitate installation in road cases and compact racks.
Use cases
- Passive speaker reinforcement for concerts and mobile tours.
- Fixed installations in auditoriums, churches and convention centers.
- Recording and broadcast studios that require high power and low distortion.
- Corporate event rooms and professional sound rentals.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is the difference between stereo and bridge modes?
In stereo mode, it delivers independent power to each channel; in bridge mode, it combines two channels to double the power at one output. -
Is additional ventilation necessary?
Its progressive air system is effective, but it is recommended to leave one unit free in the rack for air flow. -
How do I activate the limiter?
The limiter is permanently activated and does not require configuration. -
What connections does it support?
Balanced XLR and jack inputs, turnlock outputs or screw terminals for speakers.
