The Triton Blue CB5 is a 5-channel cable protector (also known as a grommet or cable protector ) designed for temporary installations at events, trade shows, construction sites, and venues with pedestrian and light/medium vehicle traffic. Its heavy-duty vulcanized rubber base and high-visibility yellow cover create a stable, non-slip surface that prevents tripping hazards and protects wiring on the floor.

Measuring 900 x 500 x 50 mm , with 5 identical channels and male/female connectors at the ends, the CB5 allows sections to be daisy-chained together and continuous lines to be deployed. The hinged lid remains firmly closed even when driven over by cars or trucks , and the body can support a load of approximately 9 tonnes when installed on firm, level ground . Each channel can accommodate cables up to 38 x 50 mm , sufficient for signal, control and low voltage power cables.

Safety and recommended use

• Install only on firm, level ground to achieve rated load capacity.
• Do not exceed 70% occupancy of each channel (up to the bottom of the lid).
• Do not use with cables > 500 V or as a bridge over trenches or gaps.
• Additional signs and permits may be required on public roads.
• Keep the hinges and lock clean ; lubricate periodically (Teflon or silicone) and remove any excess.

Mounting

• Connect the units using the male/female couplings and check the fit at each joint.
• Open the flip cover, place the cables inside the channels and close until you hear/feel the fit .
• Check for proper closure and stability before opening to traffic.
