MOTU 1248 AVB - Hybrid Audio Interface

HYBRID AUDIO INTERFACE (VARIOUS SYSTEMS) The 1248 Thunderbolt-enabled audio interface delivers the industry’s widest dynamic range and powerful mixing capabilities like a true 48-channel, 12-bus stereo mixer. With 66 channels of audio I/O in total (32 inputs and 34 outputs), the 1248 is also compatible with and can be connected via USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. Featuring powerful 32-bit floating-point mixing and effects DSP, including analog-modeled EQ, vintage-gear simulated compression, and classic reverb, it also has extensive patch routing capabilities that allow the unit to patch inputs to outputs, or split inputs to multiple destinations. Use the 1248 as a standalone mixer and control everything from the innovative 1248 web app running on your iPad, iPhone, Android tablet or smartphone, or laptop. All you need is a web browser and no app download. You can connect a second MOTU AVB series interface with a simple Ethernet cable to add more I/O using the AVB series switch (sold separately). This allows you to build an entire AVB audio network with multiple switches acting as nodes and multiple interfaces connected to them, all with overall latency of a few milliseconds, even over long cables in different rooms. You can send hundreds of input or output channels between all the devices and equipment connected to the network, keeping cabling and installation costs extremely low. From initial recording to final mastering, the 1248 delivers excellent sound quality, the world's highest configurability and controllability, and extremely reliable performance.
