The AKG PAESP M is part of their Discreet Acoustics Modular PLUS (DAM+) series. It is a programmable phantom power module for fixed and mobile installations. Thanks to its wide voltage range, it works with most available microphone mixers. It is equipped with a unique BCD (binary code decimal) switch that allows users to switch between different operating modes. Several functions are adjustable, such as bass cut, LED ring mode (on, off, microphone function tracking), and microphone switch mode (push to mute, push to talk, push on - push off).
It features a completely silent microphone switch; instead of disconnecting the signal, it reduces the level by 26 dB, preventing the annoying crackling sound when phantom power is interrupted. The switch is discreetly positioned yet easily accessible for simple operation, even for inexperienced speakers. The integrated system connector has gold-plated contacts and is designed to fit securely into all available DAM+ series mounting modules.
