The Soundcraft GB8 , an evolution of the successful GB4 series, expands its capabilities with a robust design and advanced features. With 24- to 48-channel options, this console is ideal for fixed installations such as churches and theaters, as well as for small touring sound systems .

Channels:
- From 24 to 48 mono channels, each with 4 full stereo channels and 4 stereo returns .
- Dual-mode topology: Inspired by the MH3 and MH4 consoles, it allows the GB8 to be used as a FOH (front) or monitor, controlling the group or auxiliary outputs from the faders.

Additional connectivity:
- Output matrix with 11 sends to 4 outputs , fed from the group buses and the main outputs L, R and C (mono) .
- Mute Function: Four mute groups to turn off multiple channels simultaneously.
- Built-in Limiters: Included on the stereo recording and alternate outputs, to facilitate the creation of distortion-free stereo recordings.
- 1 kHz Oscillator: Useful for testing and adjusting the sound system.

- Sloped Steel Chassis: The sloped rear panel makes setup easy from the front of the console, ideal for table-mounted installations.
- Integrated power supply: Includes the option to connect an external backup power supply for added security.
- Meter Bridge: Featuring three LED meters , accurately emulating the dynamics of VU meters.
