beamZ Pro Tiger 9R 260W - Pack of 2 beam 9R moving heads with integrated flight case
The beamZ Pro Tiger 9R 260W is a professional package consisting of two high-power beam moving heads , supplied in a custom flight case for safe transport and quick setup. Each unit incorporates a 260W MSD 9R discharge lamp that generates an ultra-concentrated 1° beam , perfect for long-distance effects, sharp aerial trails, and impactful lighting designs on large stages.
Thanks to its 8000K color temperature and the combination of a color wheel with 14 colors + open and a static gobo wheel with 14 patterns + open , the Tiger 9R offers a vast creative palette. It includes a frost effect (frost lens) to soften the beam when desired, a gobo shake effect for vibrant patterns, and a motorized rotating dual prism system with 8 and 48 facets , capable of multiplying the beam into spectacular fans and tunnels of light.
The unit is designed for precise beam control : it features motorized focus to maintain sharpness at varying distances, a mechanical shutter with adjustable stroboscopic effect from 0 to 10 Hz , and a mechanical attenuator to adjust intensity. The head movement is fast and smooth, with 540° pan and 180° tilt , and includes automatic pan/tilt correction , so the position is automatically restored if the head is bumped or forced.
In terms of control, the Tiger 9R can operate in DMX mode (with 16 or 20 channels ), automatic programs , master/slave mode , manual mode via the panel, and sound-to-light mode with an internal microphone. Operation is performed from a control panel with an LCD screen and navigation buttons, and the system is RDM -compatible for remote configuration and monitoring via the DMX line, according to the manufacturer's official manual.
The connections are fully professional: DMX In/Out on 3-pin and 5-pin XLR , and P-Con (PowerCON) power with input and output for daisy-chaining multiple units on the same power line. Cooling is provided by a temperature-controlled fan that optimizes airflow and protects the lamp and electronics. Each moving head measures approximately 310 x 250 x 510 mm (L x W x H) , and the included flight case measures approximately 600 x 600 x 780 mm (including wheels), with a total weight of around 60.65 kg and an approximate weight of 12.35 kg per moving head .
The Tiger 9R 260W 2-pack + flight case is designed for rental companies, nightclubs, concert halls, festivals and event providers who need a tour-ready set of 9R discharge beam heads : robust, easy to transport, with a very high light output and a combination of effects that covers everything from DJ shows to large live productions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What type of beam does the Tiger 9R offer?
Each Tiger 9R generates an extremely narrow and concentrated 1° beam . This makes it ideal for aerial effects with smoke or fog, creating highly visible columns of light that sweep across the room or stage.
What is the difference between 8-faceted and 48-faceted prisms?
The 8-facet prism splits the beam into several rays while maintaining a sharp and well-defined appearance, while the 48-facet prism creates a much denser and more spectacular multi-beam effect. Both are rotatable and motorized , allowing them to rotate and generate circular and dynamic effects.
Can I use the Tiger 9R without a DMX console?
Yes. In addition to DMX modes, the unit offers automatic programs, master/slave mode, manual mode, and sound-to-light mode . This allows you to configure basic scenes directly from the LCD panel or work with music without a console.
Is this equipment suitable for touring?
Absolutely. The package includes a robust flight case specifically designed for two Tiger 9R units, complete with wheels and internal padding. This facilitates continuous transport between gigs, protects the moving heads, and speeds up setup and teardown.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
No. The Tiger 9R has an IP20 protection rating, so it is designed for indoor use or in outdoor spaces properly protected from rain, humidity and excessive dust.
Control and operating modes
- DMX 512: Full operation on 16 or 20 channels , allowing control of color, gobos, strobe, dimmer, prisms, frost, pan/tilt, focus, etc.
- RDM: Supports Remote Device Management , allowing you to configure the DMX address and other parameters from compatible controllers via the same DMX line.
- Automatic programs: ready-to-use internal sequences with adjustable speed.
- Master/slave mode: synchronization of multiple units without the need for a table, ideal for quick setups.
- Sound mode: responds to music via an internal microphone, with adjustable sensitivity.
- Manual mode: direct adjustments from the LCD display for testing, installation, or simple configurations.
Installation, transport and safety
- Each head is supplied with a quick-lock omega clamp for secure mounting on trusses, bars, or brackets.
- The integrated flight case is custom-designed to house both units, with protection against bumps and scratches.
- The use of appropriate safety cables is recommended when mounting heads at height, always complying with rigging regulations.
- The P-Con in/out connections allow the power supply of several printheads to be daisy-chained, reducing the number of power lines required.
