The Korg SP-280 BK is an 88-key digital piano designed to offer the feel of a concert acoustic piano in a stylish and portable format. Its NH (Natural Weighted Hammer Action) keyboard faithfully reproduces the response of a hammer action, with three touch curves (Light, Normal, Heavy) to adapt to each performer. It incorporates 30 expressive sounds (organized in three banks of 10) covering acoustic and electric pianos, electric grand, organs, clavicles, harpsichord, strings, choirs, vibraphone, marimba and guitar, as well as Brilliance, Reverb and Chorus effects with three levels each to shape the tone. Its internal 22 W + 22 W amplification and 8 x 12 cm oval speakers deliver a wide and defined volume both at home and on small stages.

For studying and rehearsing, the SP-280 BK includes a metronome with tempo, time signature, accent, tone and volume controls, 30 demo songs (10 sound and 20 piano), and Layer (sound layering) and Partner (keyboard splitting for two performers in the same range) functions. In terms of connectivity, it offers L/MONO and R line outputs , a stereo line input for playing external sources through the speakers, MIDI DIN IN/OUT , two mini-jack headphone outputs (front and rear), and a pedal input. It includes a Damper pedal with half-pedal support, a music stand , and a specific metal stand .
