The KORG Pa5X-61 is KORG’s flagship 61-key professional arranger. It features the EDS-XP sound engine with 160-voice polyphony , a modern color-coded interface , and an 8” tilting capacitive touchscreen for seamless access to thousands of sounds and hundreds of styles. The new front panel features 9 faders and 9 assignable buttons with a strip display , joystick , ribbon , and 16-pad matrix , offering immediate control both live and in the studio. Smooth Sound Transitions between sounds, styles, and songs prevent audio dropouts, and the XDS Crossfade Dual Player system lets you mix Styles , MIDI, and MP3 files in any combination with a crossfader , with lyrics and music displayed on the screen or via HDMI .

It comes standard with over 2,200 sounds —including multi-layer acoustic pianos with resonances, GM/XG sections, organs with digital drawbars and DNC technology—, over 130 drum kits with Round Robin , and over 600 Styles . The internal sampler offers 4GB of user PCM (equivalent to 8GB linear with compression) with KORG/WAV/AIFF/SoundFont import and full editing ( Time Slice , multisamples, etc.). The microphone section ( Shift Audio technology) integrates compressor, EQ and gate, 4-voice harmonizer and AutoPitch ; in addition, the guitar input has a rack with pedals and amp simulation. All this in an aluminum chassis with wooden sides, without integrated speakers and compatible with the optional PaAS system.
