Audix M3G6 - Pendant Microphone System

The M3 (available in two colors, white and gray) is an innovative, three-element pendant microphone system designed for applications where aesthetics, sound quality, ambient noise isolation, and ease of installation are critical. The M3W is an ideal audio capture solution for video conference rooms, educational organizations with large auditoriums, or lectures that are recorded or delivered remotely, as well as courtrooms and surgical operating rooms. The M3 incorporates three phase-coherent hypercardioid capsules, with their tailored frequency response optimized for speech intelligibility, achieved by minimizing frequencies caused by noise, vibration, paperwork, keystrokes, fans, and air conditioning/heating. A low-noise preamplifier provides the maximum possible noise-free signal and studio-quality sound. The microphone cable, with a high-quality silicone sleeve, isolates the balanced signal and is very stylish. The electronics are concealed above the ceiling in a metal plenum box, and connections are made via an RJ-45 connector embedded within a proprietary brass housing for a watertight seal. The M3 can be connected to the input of a mixing console or DSP via a separate cable (provided). The patch cable consists of a female RJ-45 connector terminating in any of three XLR or terminal block connectors. Shielded CAT7 cables of various sizes are available as an option. Installation of the M3 requires drilling a single 5/8-inch hole in the ceiling; no additional tools are required. Mounting the M3 is easily accomplished via the pendant cable, up to four feet from the ceiling surface without removing ceiling tiles.
