AKG WMS420 VOCAL SET Band D (D5) – UHF wireless vocal system with HT420 handheld microphone (D5 capsule) and SR420 receiver
The AKG WMS420 VOCAL SET Band D is an analog UHF wireless system designed for vocals that combines the HT420 handheld transmitter with a supercardioid D5 dynamic capsule and the SR420 desktop receiver . It operates in Band D (863.1–864.9 MHz) , a license-free range in much of Europe (channel 70), with up to 3 simultaneous compatible frequencies in this band. The receiver features antenna switching diversity , balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" jack outputs, and RF OK and CLIP indicators for easy setup. The AKG D5 capsule provides high gain-before-feedback and a defined response for lead and backing vocals, while the transmitter offers up to 8 hours of runtime on a single AA battery and built-in charging ports for the optional CU400 charger.
The WMS420 series provides up to 8 frequency selection per array within a bandwidth of up to 30 MHz (band dependent) , wideband FM modulation, system frequency response 40 Hz–20 kHz , SNR 105 dB(A) and typical THD 0.8% . The SR420 receiver (half 19” rack, 1U) measures 150 × 44 × 200 mm and weighs approximately 620 g ; the HT420 transmitter measures 237 × Ø51 mm and weighs 214 g . In Band D the transmitter RF power is 10 mW and the typical line-of-sight range is up to 30 m .
