The AKG DMM8 U is a benchmark digital automatic mixer for conferences and large meetings. It integrates 6 analog microphone/line inputs (with Phoenix connectors), stereo USB (2 channels) and a complete DSP section with automix , priority/ducking , equalization , compressor/limiter , low-cut filter , pan/balance and delay . It offers +48 V phantom power (max. 10 mA per input), 12 bands of graphic EQ on outputs , 6 programmable presets and an “all inputs to all outputs” routing matrix . In larger installations, up to 10 units can be chained together to manage up to 80 channels , maintaining extremely low noise and a stable mix even with multiple open microphones.

It works at 48 kHz / 24 bit , with 20 Hz–20 kHz response, THD + N < 0.1 % , dynamic > 100 dB and S / N > 90 dB (A) . On the rear panel it includes 2 analog outputs (Out / Rec, 2 channels each) and stereo USB I / O. The DMM8 ULD version adds Dante network (14 free Dante outputs and 4 Dante inputs) for broadcast / AV integration, while the DMM8 UL incorporates LAN control for automation (AMX, Crestron, etc.). The chassis occupies 1U of 19 " and measures approximately 483 × 220 × 45 mm , ideal for a technical room rack.
