KORG drumlogue - Hybrid drum machine with 4 analog and 7 digital parts, advanced 64-step sequencer
KORG drumlogue combines the punch of analog synthesis with digital flexibility in a compact and robust form factor. Its architecture brings together 4 analog parts (kick, snare, low tom, high tom), 6 PCM/sample-based parts , and 1 Multi-Engine part (Noise, VPM, and User Synth ), totaling 11 voices with instant control and dedicated volume per part. The internal 64-step, 11-part sequencer incorporates modern creation features (step probability, alternate triggering, micro-shifting, per-track groove , chain , loop , motion , and accents) for effortlessly building dynamic grooves. At the effects level, it integrates simultaneous Delay, Reverb, and Master with sends per part, bypass per part, and sidechain to the master bus, in addition to the option to load user effects via logueSDK . Professional connectivity— individual outputs 1–4 plus L/Mono and R, Audio In for processing external sources, analog Sync , MIDI , and USB-A/USB-B —make it the ideal rhythmic brain for live and studio use. All housed in an aluminum chassis with a tilted panel, clear OLED display, and dedicated controls for quick editing.
Main features
- Hybrid architecture (11 parts) : 4 analog (BD, SD, LT, HT) + 6 digital per sample (CH, OH, RS, CP, SP1, SP2) + 1 Multi-Engine (Noise, VPM and user synthesizer).
- Sequencer : 64 steps × 11 parts, step or real-time recording, Chain , Loop , Motion and Accent functions; modern creative tools like step probability, alternate triggering, micro- timing and groove per track.
- Simultaneous effects : Delay, Reverb, and Master with part sends, multiple returns, part bypass , and sidechain to the master bus; user effects can be loaded.
- Expandable Multi-Engine : In addition to Noise and VPM, it supports full user synthesizers (filters, LFOs, even polyphony via MIDI) and comes with the Sinevibes “Nano” plugin pre-installed.
- Immediate interface : OLED display (Organic EL), 15 dedicated controls for instant access and volume potentiometers per part.
- Memory and Samples : 32 MB shared storage; direct USB import with drag-and-drop; sample playback up to 4 s per file.
- Programs and kits : 128 programs and 128 kits (64 factory-installed in each case), all rewritable.
- Connectivity : L/Mono and R outputs, 4 individual outputs , headphones, Audio In , Sync In/Out on minijack, MIDI In/Out , USB-A for class-compliant MIDI controllers and USB-B for computer/DAW.
- Design and portability : Aluminum chassis with a sloped panel and wooden sides; dimensions 317 × 189 × 73 mm; weight 1.4 kg.
- Power supply : DC 9V adapter included; consumption 9W.
Product benefits
- Sound with character : Next-generation analog circuitry for kick, snare, and toms; solid foundation and rich harmonics that pop in the mix.
- Fast workflow : straightforward editing with dedicated controls and a clear display; part-by-part volumes for on-the-fly mixing.
- Total versatility : mix analog, your own samples, and User Synths in a single machine; process external sources via Audio In .
- Easy integration : Sync via MIDI, Analog Sync, or USB; connect controllers via USB-A and expand your expressive capabilities (e.g., velocity-sensitive pads).
- Professional Audio Path : 4 individual outputs for processing and recording tracks separately, facilitating multi-channel mixing.
Use cases
- Live set : 64-step sequences with variations, probability , and loops to build organic performances without stopping the clock.
- Studio/Production : Assign kicks/snares to individual outputs for parallel compression and external processing; use Audio In to apply Drumlogue's own effects to external synths or snares.
- Sound Design : Create and load your own synths and effects with logueSDK or use the “Nano” plugin for leads, basses, and textures within your pattern.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the actual polyphony? It has 11 voices/parts . Multi-Engine User Synths can be polyphonic when receiving MIDI (the actual voice depends on the synthesizer design).
- Can I load my own samples? Yes. They are imported via USB (drag-and-drop) with a maximum sample time of 4 seconds .
- What's included? 64 pre-installed kits and 64 programs (128 of each, rewritable), plus the Sinevibes "Nano" synthesizer plugin.
- Can I use USB controllers? Yes, the USB-A port accepts class-compliant MIDI controllers (e.g., nanoPAD2, nanoKONTROL2) for additional triggering and control.
