The AKG WMS470C5SETBD9 is a professional UHF wireless system that combines the SR470 receiver with an HT470 handheld microphone equipped with a C5 capsule (condenser, cardioid). It operates in Band 9 (BD9) , with a specified working range of 600.1–605.9 MHz and 614.1–630.5 MHz depending on local regulations. It offers microprocessor-controlled diversity , pilot tone to avoid noise, infrared synchronization and a tuning width of 30.5 MHz to configure multiple channels without intermodulation. The audio link is wide and transparent ( 35 Hz–20 kHz ), while the C5 capsule provides vocal definition with a 65 Hz–20 kHz response and a cardioid pattern for maximum lateral rejection. The transmitter operates on a single AA battery, providing up to 14 hours of battery life on a lithium battery, ideal for live performances, theater, events and fixed installations.
