Operating principle of UV-C lamps L

• UV-C radiation has a photolytic effect on DNA; microorganisms such as bacteria, molds, yeasts, and viruses cannot replicate. The purification effect is achieved at wavelengths below 320 nm, with maximum efficacy at 260 nm.
• OSRAM HNS germicidal lamps emit light at 254 nm, approximately 85% of maximum efficacy, and are ozone-free.

OSRAM PURITEC HNS UV-C lamps for purification

• UV-C radiation generated by high-energy UV-C lamps ranges in wavelength between 200 nanometers (nm) and 280 nanometers.

Ozone-free lamps
